St Joseph and Jesus

IN HONOR OF SAINT JOSEPH

Patron Saint of the Universal Church

Saint Joseph Day is a Solemnity that falls in the midst of Lent, on March 19.  It is not a day of fasting, but a day of feasting.   Have a feast that day!   Have your favorite treats and foods.  Lenten penance is suspended on Saint Joseph Day.  But remember something else:  Our sacrifice of prayer for our world should be more intentional on Saint Joseph Day.   Here's what we do...

THE BLESSED SACRAMENT WILL BE EXPOSED on Wednesday, March 19 – SOLEMNITY OF SAINT JOSEPH – from 7:15 AM-12:00 PM, and from 12:30 PM-5:00 PM.  Please take this opportunity for silent prayer, adoration, and meditation.  Honor St. Joseph by begging his intercession for your personal intentions, as well as the following:

  • Peace in our homes, families, workplaces, and in our world.

  • For those who have lost loved ones by war or violence, especially orphaned children.

  • For greater respect for all human life, from conception until natural death.

  • For the poor and marginalized.

  • For the grace of a happy death.

Saint Joseph, Pray for us!

Take your devotion to Saint Joseph to another level.
