CCD Students Retell the Nativity Story

Celebrating the Season with a Christmas Pageant

Luke 1:35
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”

Our Lady of Lourdes CCD catechism students performed a Christmas pageant telling the Christmas story for the enjoyment of all parishioners on the afternoon of December 12th.   The pageant was a wonderful experience with participants and volunteers from Pre-Kindergarten through the confirmation candidates class taking part to ensure a successful performance.  The picture on the right depicts an Angel (Laine Graziano) looking from on High as the Angel Gabriel (Rosa Tedeschi) appears to Mary (Serena Cabral) as captured in Luke, Chapter 1 and the Angelus Prayer.

The CCD program at OLOL is robust and thriving with classes held in both Spanish and English on Sundays to assist the parish youth in faith formation.  Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade classes are available.  Sacraments are often received in the 2nd and 8th grades and Rite of Christian Initiation for Children if also available.  More information is available on our website or you can contact the Director of Religious Education at [email protected].
