Students Make Pilgrimage to Emmitsburg

Emmitsburg

On Sunday, October 4, Our Lady of Lourdes upper-grade CCD students and teachers participated in a pilgrimage to Emmitsburg, Maryland. The day included Mass celebrated by Fr. Edlefsen, with Confirmation candidates serving as readers; a tour of the beautiful Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at Mount St. Mary's University; time exploring the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes; and a visit to the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

The pilgrimage provided a meaningful opportunity to extend faith formation beyond the classroom, allowing students to deepen their appreciation of our Catholic heritage through prayer, reflection, and shared experiences. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation enriched the day and fostered a sense of faith and fellowship. We are especially grateful to our dedicated teachers and volunteers whose time and efforts made this pilgrimage possible.
