The Shroud of Turin: A Talk and Presentation

WHAT IS THE "SHROUD OF TURIN?   FIND OUT HERE!

Jim Naulty, a friend of Fr. Peffley and a parishioner at St Andrew the Apostle in Clifton, will give a talk and presentation on the Shroud of Turin on Tuesday, April 1 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Lourdes.  Mr. Naulty has studied the Shroud for over 30 years.   

He will talk about the description of the man of the Shroud, a medical analysis of his wounds, an archeological explanation of Roman crucifixions, and perform a show-and-tell comprised of a cross beam and replicas of a Roman whip (flagrum), the crown of thorns, a Roman nail, the sign above his head, how the man was wrapped in the Shroud, and a thorn from the crown. His talk will conclude with a question-and-answer session. 

Mr. Naulty was a guest speaker at The St. John Paul ll Shrine in Washington, DC.  In Lent 2024, he made presentations on the Shroud at numerous local parishes in the Beltway area, including St. Andrew Silver Spring, St. John Neumann in Gaithersburg, St. Jude in Rockville, Sacred Heart in Bowie, St. Anthony's in North Beach, St. Ignatius in Iiamsville,  St. Joseph's in Beltsville,  Resurrection Church in Burtonsville, St John the Evangelist in Frederick,  Holy Cross in Rockville,  Sacred Heart in Leonardtown, St Mary of Sorrows in Fairfax,  As well as a 3-day mission at St. Patrick's in Rockville.
