Walking Bus

Walking Busy

Volunteer Opportunity

The Walking Bus is a group of children walking to school together, supervised by trained adult volunteers who act as “drivers” and “conductors.” Following a set route and schedule, this program provides a safe, fun, and active way for kids to travel to Oakridge Elementary School, 1414 24th St S, Arlington, VA 22202. It also reduces traffic congestion, encourages exercise, and strengthens our neighborhood bonds.

Volunteers are needed from the community to join they Walking Bus team. Volunteers will help supervise the children, ensuring their safety and offering a positive start to their day. No prior experience is needed—just a commitment to our kids and community. All necessary training, support, and background checks will be provided.
